Globally, the off-grid renewable energy industry is expected to create at least 4.5 million direct jobs by 2030. Already—in just the solar lighting part of the industry—38 jobs are already being created for every 10,000 lights sold and the numbers have surpassed the 150,000 in fuel-based lighting.
